About

My name is Ebinabo John — pronounced eh-bee-NAH-boh. Edgar is my first name, and it's what most people call me day to day, but Ebinabo is the one worth learning to say.
I'm Nigerian, and these days I live in Malta. I work as a frontend engineer at Glide, where I spend most of my time on the marketing site: building landing pages, contributing to the design system, running A/B tests, and sweating the performance, accessibility, and SEO details that decide whether any of it actually works.
The tools are the usual suspects — React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind — but the part I care about is the last 10%: the micro-interactions, the type that sits just right, the page that loads before you notice it loading. AI tools are firmly in the mix too: Claude Code is part of my daily workflow, and this site is coming together with it in the loop.
For a few years I volunteered with She Code Africa, a non-profit helping African women grow in technical careers.
Outside of work I'm an amateur endurance athlete. I started out running and picked up the bike more recently. The rest of my time belongs to family and friends — and Malta's roads and sea are a fine backdrop for all three.
The best way to reach me is email.
